Art, material & lived experience
Molood Akkaf (b. 1988, Isfahan, Iran) is a visual artist working across sculpture, painting, and textile-based mixed media. Her practice explores feminine identity, material memory, and domestic labor through resin-cast lace, embroidery, and layered surfaces.
By transforming fragile fabrics into spatial forms, her work examines vulnerability, resilience, and embodied memory. Akkaf holds an M.A. in Painting from Sooreh Art University and has exhibited in Iran and internationally in Germany, Austria, and Canada. She lives and works in Tehran.
Between delicacy and resilience
My practice transforms textile into sculptural presence. Working with lace, net fabric, and embroidery, I cast fragile domestic materials in resin—preserving softness while altering their physical state.
